Elizabeth H. White

Liz White focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on appellate litigation, securities, antitrust, and intellectual property disputes.

Liz has extensive experience drafting dispositive motions and appellate briefs and has practiced in both trial and appellate courts at the federal and state levels. Liz assists in defending clients in class action shareholder and shareholder derivative litigation, including managing document collection and production and drafting filings and dispositive motions. Liz likewise defends clients in antitrust actions, including in class action, indirect purchaser, and opt-out multi-district litigation. Liz has represented clients in a broad range of sectors, including technology, manufacturing, education, and private equity investment.

Prior to joining the firm, Liz served as in-house counsel for a top-rated university in California where she focused her practice on advising internal university clients on a wide range of matters in student affairs, faculty affairs, employment law, health care, intellectual property, and privacy. Liz also previously served as a litigator at an international law firm working on appellate, securities, antitrust and intellectual property matters. She also maintained an active pro bono practice, advising an international medical non-profit on trademark matters and working on multiple habeas corpus petitions, including one that resulted in the release of her client from prison after almost 20 years.

Prior to law school, Liz worked for The Associated Press as a reporter and editor, covering politics, immigration, and the NBA.
