Represented a scent diffusion and control technology company in patent litigation with a competitor. Led trial team to a successful defense verdict on the competitor’s two asserted patents and continuing to represent the company for infringement of the company’s patents by the competitor.
Represented a fintech company in the successful defense of a fiercely contested trade secret and patent case over fintech software where the opposing party sought billions of dollars in damages.
Represented an artificial intelligence (AI) company in the successful defense of a competitor patent infringement lawsuit and parallel IPR proceedings to invalidate the competitor’s patent.
Represented a blockchain company in proceedings to invalidate a competitor patent covering methods of using non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
Represented a global automotive manufacturer in a series of IPRs related to hybrid vehicle control technology that successfully invalidated all of the plaintiff’s asserted patent claims. Led and argued the appeal to secure the victory at the Federal Circuit.
Represented a government contractor in successful defense of patent infringement suit filed by a non-practicing entity (NPE) related to global positioning technology.
Represented a chemical company in a trade secret misappropriation case related to aramid fiber technology, which resulted in a US$919 million jury verdict in favor of the client. Continued representation in post-trial enforcement actions by the client.
Represented a life sciences non-profit in a patent infringement action against competitor involving soft tissue grafts, winning a jury verdict of over US$34 million, and securing the victory on appeal to the Federal Circuit.
Represented a telecommunications company and its affiliates in two patent infringement lawsuits, winning one on collateral estoppel grounds, which was affirmed by the Federal Circuit, and winning the other on summary judgment under 35 U.S.C. Section 101, also affirmed by the Federal Circuit.
