Advising a major UK transport operator in relation to the novation of a number of major contracts with one of its key suppliers, arising out of corporate restructuring within the supplier group. We advised on both the terms of the novations and also related procurement issues.
Acting for a major UK transport operator on the terms and conditions of the signalling and train control contract for the Deep Tube Upgrade Programme, together with related ancillary documentation.
Acting for a major UK rail operator on the drafting and negotiation of the Automatic Train Control signalling upgrade contract (c. £760 million) using an amended NEC3 Option C.
Advising a major UK rail operator in relation to its Transmission Based Train Control signalling system contract and advising on, drafting, and negotiating four new supplemental agreements to the long-standing, high-value contract (c.£750m), including the preparation of an additional technical support agreement.
Advising an international provider of rail solutions on a wide range of non-contentious matters including drafting and advising on their template suite of construction contracts, which are let on a mix of NEC and JCT forms.
Advising the employer on supplemental agreements to contracts for the system wide signalling project to support ongoing signalling and communications systems activities on the Elizabeth line. The contracts are based on amended NEC3 forms.
Advising a major transport provider on contracts for pier construction and ferry procurement, involving advising on the procurement strategy and drafting design and build documents for pier construction and a bespoke DBOM contract for ferry procurement with a 10 year operation and maintenance element.
Advising on construction elements of agreements for lease, professional appointments, JCT building contract, parent company guarantee, collateral warranties, and ancillary documentation on new retail development in Staines, England.
Advising a racecourse owner/operator in relation to the procurement and carrying out of a track resurfacing project at one of its properties, including drafting and negotiating the JCT building contracts and related documentation.
Advising a Spanish contractor in relation to the drafting and negotiation of their NEC3 supply contract terms and conditions on a major tunneling project in London.
Advising a real estate fund in relation to the agreement for lease and construction elements (including JCT building contract, professional appointments, collateral warranties) of a letting and redevelopment in Wales.
