Advised a German commercial bank on the financing of a fleet of 27 Alstom hydrogen trains, one of the largest hydrogen fleets in the world.
Coordinated multiple merger control filings regarding the acquisition of a hydrogen tank manufacturer.
Advised clients on regulatory issues related to hydrogen sector opportunities, including jurisdictional and regulatory issues regarding the scope of existing authorities at FERC, DOE, and PHMSA, as well as related DOE programs for “blue” hydrogen-associated carbon capture.
Advised on a template teaming agreement for joint ventures between an EPC Contractor and electrolyzer supplier for use on tenders for green hydrogen projects.
Advised on a tender for the supply of electrolyzers to a hydrogen production facility for the production of liquid hydrogen for a ferry operator.
Drafted template standard terms for the supply of electrolyzers to be used in the production of green hydrogen.
Advised on the terms of an agreement for a Pre-FEED Study for the design of a 20MW electrolyzer for the production of green hydrogen.
Advised on the circa CA$150–300 million supply agreement and licensing agreement for a tender for the design, manufacture, and supply of a 250-500MW electrolyzer for use in a green hydrogen production plant.
Represented a leading global e-commerce company in offtake agreement negotiation for just-in-time delivery of liquid hydrogen from a greenfield electrolytic hydrogen plant in Arizona to warehouse and logistics centers throughout California, where such fuel pathways will participate in the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard regimes.
Represented a leading global e-commerce company in offtake agreement negotiation for just-in-time delivery of liquid hydrogen from a greenfield electrolytic hydrogen plant in Texas to warehouse and logistics centers throughout Texas.
Served as lead counsel to an EPC contractor in connection with claims arising out of the construction of one of the world’s largest hydrogen production plants in Richmond, California.
Advised an Australian renewable energy company in its development of a greenfield green hydrogen production plant, including long-term hydrogen offtake arrangements (on a delivered basis) to various regional customers.
Advised a public contracting authority in the structuring and implement tender procedure for the procurement of a hydrogen fuel station and long-term hydrogen supply (for hydrogen busses already procured for public transportation).
Advised a project sponsor on the development of its long-term ammonia export contracts for a greenfield green hydrogen project in Western Australia.
Advised a utility on the negotiation of a power purchase agreement for a green hydrogen energy storage project.
Advised a retailer on the purchase of a green hydrogen-fueled electric vehicle-charging station for the client's electric vehicle fleet.
Advised the developers of a green hydrogen and ammonia production facility in Denmark with respect to greenfield project development and offtake agreements.
Represented an Australia-based company with a focus on originating renewable hydrogen production opportunities at home and abroad in its acquisition by a renewables company.
Advised the developers of a green hydrogen project in Morocco with respect to project development and offtake arrangements.
Advised an Australian owner/operator of energy generation facilities on the planning and environmental approvals and modifications required to enable a dual-fuel power station to utilise increasing amounts of hydrogen as a source fuel in line with these commitments.
Provided legal analysis and policy advice regarding construction of a green hydrogen/ammonia facility in the United States.
Advised a client on the competition law aspects of an agreement with one train manufacturer on cooperation regarding development of fuel cells for passenger trains.
Supported a hydrogen research and development company and related group companies on all aspects of their business, including global commercialisation opportunities for the HERO (Hydrogen-Energy-Release-Optimiser) technology and investments in the global hydrogen value chain.
