Juliana Araujo

Juliana Araujo focuses her practice on cross-border corporate law and compliance. She has significant experience in providing strategic advice to clients in complex legal matters, as well as heading transactions in various industries, including energy, technology, education, internet, insurance, agribusiness and banking. She has also relevant experience in advising clients in anti-corruption and anti-money laundering regulations, internal investigations and other compliance matters.

Ms. Araujo’s transactional and corporate practice in Latin America has been recognized by several publications and she has been listed as a leading corporate lawyer in Latin America by several publications.

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ms. Araujo was a partner at a leading law firm in Brazil, where she co- headed the corporate practice group. She has also worked as a foreign attorney at prominent law firms in the United States and Colombia. Ms. Araujo previously headed the legal department of a Fortune 100 Corporation in São Paulo for a number of years.

Ms. Araujo also devotes significant time to pro bono matters, having represented a number of NGOs in Brazil and abroad in various matters.
