K&L Gates Advises Microsoft on US$1 Billion Equity Investment in OpenAI

Seattle - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP advises Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq “MSFT”) on its US$1 billion equity investment in San Francisco-based OpenAI LP to build secure, trustworthy, and ethical artificial intelligence (AI) to serve the public. Through this partnership the companies will focus on building a platform that OpenAI will use to create new AI technologies and deliver on the promise of artificial general intelligence.
