Mental Health: The Elephant In The Workplace

Date: 1 November 2017
By: Paul Callegari, J. T. Moser

This event addressed the distinct differences between the Gen 4 workers (Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen Z) and their attitudes towards the subject of mental health. We also addressed business preparedness in relation to building a mentally resilient workforce and understanding the legal complexity and the risks associated with a failure to deal with the mental health issues appropriately.

Key areas covered in this seminar included:

  • The growing complexity and increase in young people’s mental health challenges
  • What financial, legal and cost liabilities you may be open to as a business if a mental health issue isn’t dealt with appropriately
  • What you can do to support and educate your business and employees in the area of mental health
  • The government's independent review of mental health and employers report: Thriving at Work
