Michael Harris

Michael Harris is a senior transaction lawyer in the Munich office of K&L Gates with a strong focus on banking and capital markets supervisory law. He concentrates on a broad range of legal and regulatory issues in the context of classical and structured financial products, investment funds and crypto assets, such as prospectuses, admissions to trading, PRIIPs KIDs, legal due diligence, legal structuring, regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering. In addition, he regularly supports banks, fund managers and investment firms in supervisory procedures, such as licensing or registration procedures, procedures in relation to cross-border business and marketing notifications as well as control of ownership procedures.

Michael joined the firm in July 2016. Prior to this, beginning in 2014, he was a senior transaction professional in the Munich office of an English law firm in the area of banking and finance. From 2005 until 2014, Michael worked in the legal and documentation department of a major international bank with a focus on prospectuses and capital markets. He has therefore also built extensive practical knowledge and experience in these areas.
