M&A Law Firm of the Year In 2013, Mergers & Acquisitions magazine named K&L Gates "Law Firm of the Year" in its annual M&A Mid-Market Awards. The firm was recognized for its strong performance in 2012 and its global approach to middle market mergers and acquisitions.
Among Top Two Law Firms in First-Tier Rankings in America's "Best Law Firms" The 2013 U.S. News-Best Lawyers® survey recognized K&L Gates with 202 total first-tier rankings. Rankings included 33 national first-tier rankings, 169 metropolitan first-tier rankings, and National Law Firm of the Year in Environmental Law. America’s Best Corporate Law Firms In 2012, Corporate Board Member magazine, in association with FTI Consulting, Inc., ranked K&L Gates as one of the top 25 law firms in its annual list of "America's Best Corporate Law Firms." The firm ranked No. 16. The ranking was based on a survey of nearly 2,000 general counsel of U.S. publicly held companies. The survey focused on which law firms those general counsel would engage in a variety of important legal subject matters.
2013 BTI Client Service 30 The 2013 BTI Consulting Group survey of corporate counsel included the firm in its “BTI Client Service 30,” an elite ranking that recognizes the leading law firms in driving superior client relationships according to general counsel. K&L Gates was selected for this ranking from a field of 650 law firms serving Global 500 and Fortune 1000 companies in more than 15 industries based on direct, unprompted feedback from clients.
“Global Powerhouse” Firms in 2012 Law360 Global 20 For the second year in a row, K&L Gates was ranked by Law360 in the online publication's Global 20 survey as one of the "20 law firms with the greatest global reach and expertise.”
Ranked 16th in the 2012 AmLaw Global 100 The American Lawyer ranked K&L Gates 16th by lawyer headcount and 23rd in revenues among the Global 100. In the 2010 AmLaw Global 100, the publication ranked K&L Gates first among the “Global 100” in the Recession Performance Index which measures compound annual growth rate from 2007 to 2009 of revenue, revenue per lawyer, profits per partner, and lawyer headcount.
Ranked 8th in the 2012 National Law Journal 250 The National Law Journal ranked K&L Gates No. 8 in its 2012 list of the 250 largest law firms. Firms are ranked by average number of full time equivalents in 2011.
No. 20 in Global Revenue in the Transatlantic Elite 2011 The Lawyer lists K&L Gates No. 20 in global revenue in the publication's Transatlantic Elite 2011 ranking. Short-listed for "U.S. Law Firm of the Year" and "International Law Firm of the Year" In 2009 and 2011, Legal Business short-listed K&L Gates for "U.S. Law Firm of the Year." In 2009, The Lawyer included the firm on its short-list for "International Law Firm of the Year." Named a Top Firm for Diversity and Women For the fourth consecutive year, K&L Gates was named a "Top 100 Firm for Diversity" and "Top 100 Firm for Women" by MultiCultural Law magazine in 2012. In recognition of the firm’s litigation and dispute resolution capabilities, K&L Gates has earned this prestigious award in 1998, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2006, and 2007. Recognized for Operational and Strategic Excellence in Information Technology CIO Magazine’s annual CIO 100 Award is given to 100 companies that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).
