Agnieszka Suchecka-Tarnacka

Agnieszka Suchecka-Tarnacka is Counsel in the firm's Warsaw office. She practices in all areas of Polish civil law and has broad experience in civil and penal proceedings as well as in the representation of nonprofit foundations in Poland. She also represents clients before the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France.

Ms. Suchecka-Tarnacka has developed particular experience in food, drug, and cosmetics licensing. On behalf of a producers group, she counseled on reform initiatives in the area of food and drug regulation. She continues to work in the area of the conformance of Polish food law to European Union standards with particular emphasis on licensing matters and genetic engineering issues.

Professional Background

As part of her professional training, Ms. Suchecka-Tarnacka interned with a large international firm in London as well as with a barrister chamber of Middle Temple with John L. Powell, Q. C. and with the Chicago Public Defenders’ Office.

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ms. Suchecka-Tarnacka was part of a team to whom was awarded a pro bono award by Rzeczpospolita, a leading Polish daily newspaper, in its annual Ranking Kancelarii Prawniczych 2008 (Law Firms Ranking 2008).
