Alyssa Conn is a litigation associate in the Newark office. Ms. Conn focuses her practice on a range of complex commercial litigation and insurance coverage disputes in federal and state courts. Ms. Conn represents corporate and individual clients in various types of commercial matters, including contract disputes, insurance coverage, insurance broker malpractice, construction defect litigation, business torts, RICO claims, and healthcare and ERISA disputes.

Ms. Conn is also committed to public service, and is actively involved in pro bono matters. She represents unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children in immigration proceedings.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Conn was a summer associate at K&L Gates in 2016 in the firm’s Newark office. In addition, Ms. Conn served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Esther Salas, U.S.D.J. at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey and for the Honorable Mark A. Barnett, J. at the United States Court of International Trade.

At Rutgers Law School, Ms. Conn was the Elizabeth and Barets O. Benjamin Scholar for the class of 2017. She was also a Child Advocacy Fellow, captain of the Jessup International Moot Court Team, President of the International Law Society, and an Executive Editor of the Rutgers Law School Law Review. She graduated magna cum laude and was the recipient of both the Academic Achievement Award for Excellence in International Law and the Sera Ramcharitar Memorial Award for Excellence in Work on Behalf of the Underprivileged, Women, Children, and Families for the class of 2017.

Ms. Conn is also a proud Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, having served in Uganda from 2010-2012. Prior to becoming an attorney, she was a Global Demand Generation and Operations Analyst at an international software company.
