Bertrand Dussert is a partner in the firm’s Paris office. He concentrates his practice on French and international corporate tax matters.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Dussert was a founding partner in a Paris boutique tax firm. He also has extensive experience in tax matters at the Paris office of another international firm, where he was responsible for establishing the firm’s Paris tax department. He has additional experience at other international firms in Paris and The Netherlands.


Mr. Dussert was recommended as Leading Tax Practitioner by Chambers & Partners Europe. Mr Dussert is ranked by Legal 500 EMEA and Legal 500 France for his tax practice.

  • Advised Kai Yuan Holdings Limited, an investment holding company listed on the Hong-Kong Stock Exchange, in the sale and purchase agreement to buy the premises and business of the Paris Marriott Champs-Elysées hotel;
  • Advising Microsoft US on its acquisition of Capptain S.A.S., a French company developing CRM solutions and applications for mobile devices;
  • Advising global credit manager Marathon Asset Management on the acquisition of a €280m continental European commercial property loan portfolio from Lloyds Banking Group. Known as Project Aberdonia, the transaction covers a portfolio secured by 82 properties primarily in France and Germany;
  • Advising 3D Systems Europe Ltd, a subsidiary of 3D Systems Corporation and leading global provider of 3D printing technology, in its acquisition of 81% of the share capital of Phenix Systems. Phenix Systems, listed on the French ALTERNEXT market (NYSE EURONEXT), specializes in the design and manufacture of 3D printers that print industrial grade parts;
  • Advising a leading Spanish Group – a global travel service provider – on the tax audit of its French based activities;
  • Advising a wealthy Russian citizen on a 25.000.000 € property acquisition in France
  • Advising a leading Italian industrial group in the framework of an internal restructuring encompassing complex real estate issues;
  • Advising a US specialized underwriter of Transactional insurance products on a French transfer pricing issue;
  • Advising a prominent Cement Group on the implementation of a tax efficient structure in preparation for a USD 100,000,000 corporate acquisition in the USA
