Brittany Lins is an associate in the firm’s Charlotte office, where she advises clients on environmental, land use and other regulatory matters. Ms. Lins focuses her environmental practice on brownfields redevelopment, environmental permitting, environmental remediation, regulatory compliance, and other substantive regulatory areas. Her work includes advising clients regarding various state and federal environmental laws, including the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and Hazardous Materials Transportation Act (HMTA). In addition, she advises clients on environmental due diligence for mergers and acquisitions and works closely with the firm’s real estate, corporate and litigation practices.

With respect to Ms. Lins’ land use and zoning practice, she regularly works with local City Councils, County Commissions, Boards of Adjustment, and other local governmental bodies on behalf of clients seeking approvals or opposing local government decisions related to zoning, permitting, changes of use, variances, special use permits, site plans, subdivisions and right-of-way abandonments. She frequently represents land owners and developers on a wide range of development projects, including commercial, mixed-use, residential, and office, and is engaged in development projects from the due diligence and rezoning stage through the issuance of building permits and enforcement issues that arise during the life of a development.
