Mr. Wood is an associate in the firm’s Dallas office. He has experience in a variety of labor and employment and litigation matters, including:

  • Assisted in the representation of a large corporate client in an FLSA wage and hour collective action involving over 1,300 plaintiffs across five states. Case settled on favorable terms after motion for summary judgment was filed on behalf of client.
  • Assisted in defending and prosecuting lawsuits regarding non-competition agreements, non-solicitation agreements, tortuous interference, breach of contract, and breach of fiduciary duties.
  • Regularly assisting in the defense of clients during EEOC investigations, state and federal lawsuits, and administrative proceedings involving Title VII, § 1981, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, breach of contract claims, retaliation, and employment-related torts.
  • Preparing affirmative action plans and defending corporate clients involved in OFCCP audits and administrative proceedings.
  • In a bench trial in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, obtained a full judgment in favor of a mother seeking the return of her minor child in an international child abduction pro bono case brought pursuant to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.

Mr. Wood also has experience in assessing risks involved in employee terminations as well as managing such terminations, preparing severance agreements, protecting confidential information and trade secrets with employment agreements, and advising companies on FLSA issues.
