Carl Claussen serves as a consultant to the firm's Media and Entertainment practice group but is not practicing law with the firm.
Carl Claussen trained at a Hamburg law firm prior to working for a New York law firm for a year. He began his professional career as the head of legal and business affairs of Deutsche Grammophon Gesellschaft mbH/Polydor GmbH and later became Director of TV rights and licenses with Bertelsmann/UFA, prior to becoming Chairman of UFA Entertainment GmbH. Carl Claussen joined K&L Gates in January 2007.
