Charles Lockwood is a contracts and disputes partner in the energy, infrastructure and resources practice group in the London office. He assists clients involved in onshore and offshore energy projects globally, including those involving engineering, construction and installation, drilling, subsea/subsurface operations, floating production, offshore wind and heavylift transportation.

Charles has a wealth of experience of negotiating contracts, providing general and dispute avoidance advice and conducting both informal (including mediations) and formal disputes. He is an experienced English Court litigator and has arbitrated disputes under many of the recognised institutional rules (including ICC, LCIA, ICDR, UNCITRAL and LMAA) as well as ad hoc arbitration proceedings. Many of the matters Charles assists with are technically complex and most have significant international dimensions, which often necessitate working closely with local lawyers/experts.
