Mr. Bell focuses his practice on litigation between commercial and government contractors. His experience involves the litigation of disputes related to the design and operation of several complex chemical facilities. Mr. Bell has broad arbitration and trial experience, including experience with extensive fact investigations, managing complex e-Discovery matters, conducting fact and expert witness examinations, motions practice, and drafting pre and post-trial briefs. Mr. Bell has also advised clients on external risk management and resolving disputes through negotiated settlements and mediations.

Mr. Bell also defends clients subject to federal and state investigations across the United States. He has defended numerous institutions during federal criminal investigations under the Bank Secrecy Act, the False Claims Act and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, among other criminal statutes. He has also conducted significant internal investigations of businesses and individuals associated with his clients, addressing issues such as sexual assault, complex fraud, and bribery. His representative experience includes defending a Fortune 500 financial institution cooperating with multiple simultaneous federal Grand Jury investigations focused on violations of the BSA and other international fraud and AML-related allegations.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Bell was a legal intern for the Enforcement Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and for the Public Integrity Section of the U.S. Department of Justice. In addition he was a law clerk at two Washington, D.C. area law firms.
