Mr. Wille is a real estate partner in the Brisbane office. He has over 20 years' experience advising clients on all aspects of commercial, industrial and retail property including property transactions, development and leasing.

Mr. Wille has particular experience advising owners and investors on corporate real estate acquisitions and disposals including titling and structuring advice, contracts, put and call option agreements, lease backs and other transaction documents. He also advises on strata title projects and distressed property transactions including mortgagee and receiver sales.

He manages the day-to-day leasing work for some of Australia’s major property owners, managers and tenants on a range of issues including major, bulky goods and specialty leasing, redevelopments and disputes.

Mr. Wille also has unique experience relevant to particular industries including airports, ports and the healthcare sector.

He is valued by his clients for being accessible, easy to work with and his commercial approach.

Prior to joining K&L Gates Mr. Wille was a real estate partner at a large Australian law firm. He has also held senior positions in other major Australian law firms.

Real Estate Development

  • Acting for a major institutional fund with respect to fund through arrangements for future shopping centre developments, including preparing and negotiating development management agreements.
  • Acting for developers on various commercial, residential and mixed use projects including:
    • Greater Springfield Specialist Suites – a medical suites tower at Health City in Greater Springfield.
    • a residential tower at the entrance of Portside Wharf Hamilton involving around 250 apartments and ground floor retail.

Property Acquisitions and Disposals

  • Acting for a Chinese investor in the purchase of a rural site on the Gold Coast for development as a world class theme park.
  • Acting for numerous institutional owners and investors in the purchase and sale of multiple retail shopping centres, office buildings and industrial properties on the East Coast of Australia.
  • Acting for a private Chinese investor in all aspects of the purchase of Daydream Island Resort & Spa, Whitsunday Islands including due diligence, structuring advice, stamp duty advice, business transfers, negotiation of transaction documents and assignment of Crown lease interests.


  • Acting for Brisbane Airport Corporation in connection with the Domestic Terminal redevelopment project including major airline leasing.
  • Acting for Springfield City Group in relation to leasing and property matters across Greater Springfield.
  • Acting for the Port of Brisbane and other private port operators on tenure and leasing arrangements including long terms leases, State leasehold interests and planning matters.
  • Acting for many institutional landlord and tenant clients in the commercial, industrial, retail, ports and airports sector on leasing matters including advice on Centre re-developments, precedent set-up and management and disputes. 

Major projects

  • Acting for the developer in connection with Midtown Centre Project in Brisbane CBD. The project involves re-purposing two existing commercial towers of 26,000m2 of commercial space and combining them into a single premium grade office tower of 42,000m2.
  • Acting for a Chinese investor in the due diligence of Norwell Valley between Brisbane and the Gold Coast comprising over 6,000ha of sugar cane farmland for development as a master planned city.
