Mr. Mumford focuses his practice on commercial litigation, including intellectual property. He has experience in patent, copyright and trademark litigation matters, as well as complex commercial contractual disputes.

Professional Background

Prior to law school, Mr. Mumford was a Captain in the United States Army, serving from 1996-2004 as an aviation officer and UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter pilot. He received numerous awards for his service, including the Meritorious Service Medal and the Kosovo Campaign Medal.

  • Defended manufacturer against claims for damages in excess of one million dollars from alleged patent infringement.
  • Represented numerous trademark applicants and opposers in actions before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
  • Defended medical supplies company against claims of unfair and deceptive trade practices and of breach of an exclusive distribution contract valued at more than one million dollars.
