Dawid Rapkiewicz is an advocate and member of the Dispute Resolution team in the Warsaw office of K&L Gates. He specializes in conducting court disputes before the common courts in Poland, in particular regarding infrastructure investments. He is also experienced in dealing with criminal law cases, in particular in white collar crimes, crisis management as well as compliance issues. He has advised international companies in proceedings related to offences committed by employees and in proceedings against management.

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Dawid Rapkiewicz gained experience at other international and local law firms in Warsaw.

  • Representing a client from the construction sector in numerous disputes with the State Treasury, subcontractors and other entities, with respect to the construction of a motorway.
  • Preparing a court strategy and representing a client from the construction sector in bankruptcy proceeding instigated by its creditor.
  • Providing ongoing legal advice regarding the business activities of clients from the construction, medical devices and pharmaceuticals, and chemical industry sectors.
  • Conducting cases and representing clients in fiscal penal proceedings carried out before Customs Offices all around Poland, regarding counterfeiting of trademarks and conducting of gambling activities without permission – clients from the sportswear manufacturing and beverages industry manufacturing sector.
  • Advice to and representation of clients in criminal proceedings concerning alleged corrupt practices, including internal proceedings, involving review and analysis of documentation in hard copy and electronic versions (including tender documentation), preparation of new internal procedures, assisting US lawyers in proceedings before the US Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Justice pursuant to The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) - clients from the medical devices and pharmaceuticals industry sector.
