Mr. Christou has a practice which focuses on telecommunications, technology, outsourcing, data protection and privacy. He advises his clients on a broad range of commercial and regulatory matters in this area, including cloud computing agreements, reseller agreements, supply and distribution agreements, IT procurement and carrier access rights.
Before focusing his practice on the technology industry, Mr. Christou advised clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial areas, including mergers and acquisitions involving foreign investment review board approvals and Australian inbound US investment.
He has worked in-house and been seconded to the Australian head office of a global telecommunications client, which has provided him with a unique set of skills, coupled with an invaluable insight into client expectations and the practical application of external legal advice.
Mr. Christou draws on his broad experience to provide strategic, practical and effective legal advice to clients.
Mr. Christou has presented seminars on a range of legal topics. He presented to a global telecommunications client on the competition and other regulatory issues arising from the client's retail distribution models. Mr. Christou has also presented regular seminars on contract law, risk and insurance to the National Institute of Dramatic Art in Australia since 2007.
