K&L Gates Named Among “Awesome Opponents” in Litigation

22 September 2016
Pittsburgh - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP has been recognized as one of 11 “Awesome Opponents” across the area of litigation in a survey of corporate counsel and in-house litigation heads by the BTI Consulting Group. The recognition is the result of the firm’s strong rankings by clients in a number of the survey’s litigation categories. K&L Gates earned ratings as a “Powerhouse” or “Standout” firm in at least half a dozen categories, including Everyday Commercial Litigation, Complex Commercial Litigation, Intellectual Property Litigation, Securities and Finance Litigation, Class Actions Litigation, and Product Liability Litigation.

Based on interviews with legal decision makers responsible for litigation at large organizations with $1 billion or more in revenue and across more than 15 industries, the “BTI Litigation Outlook 2017” survey ranks 650 firms according to respondents’ unprompted identification of their preferred law firms within a number of different areas of litigation.

Earlier this year, K&L Gates was also recognized by BTI as one of the world’s top law firm brands, ranking 11th out of more than 400 firms in the 2016 BTI Brand Elite: Client Perceptions of the Best-Branded Law Firms, while legal market research company Acritas ranked K&L Gates among the top 10 strongest U.S. law firm brands in its U.S. Elite Brand Index 2016.

K&L Gates comprises approximately 2,000 lawyers globally who practice in fully integrated offices located on five continents. The firm represents leading multinational corporations, growth and middle-market companies, capital markets participants and entrepreneurs in every major industry group as well as public sector entities, educational institutions, philanthropic organizations and individuals.
