Mr. Moore is a banking and finance lawyer and has advised on various transactions, including corporate financings, property financings, construction financings, acquisition financings, asset financings, mezzanine financings and cross border financings.

Mr. Moore acts for domestic and international banks, other financial institutions, and listed and unlisted corporations across a broad range of industries, including property, development, retail, hospitality, healthcare and professional services.

Professional Background

Prior to his move to Sydney, Mr. Moore worked in the Melbourne office of K&L Gates for over five years. To provide strategic and commercial advice, Mr. Moore draws upon his experience gained working at an Australian bank in the Banking and Finance division. He has also completed secondments within the legal department of a leading Australian bank and as a Relationship Manager (Property division) at a leading Australian bank.

  • Acting for a borrower in relation to the AUD136 million facility for a Melbourne CBD development comprising residential, serviced apartments and retail components.
  • Acting for a borrower in relation to the AUD64 million land acquisition and development facility for the development of the apartment towers in Abbotsford, Victoria.
  • Acting for a major bank in relation to AUD29 million construction facility for a high end development located in East Melbourne.
Property – Investment
  • Assisting on advising a major bank in relation to AUD80 million facilities to a listed property group that manages and operates accommodation parks, land lease communities and other forms of affordable accommodation including the provision of a revolving facility, contingent instrument facility and an overdraft facility.
  • Acting for a major bank in relation to AUD40 million facilities to an international group for the acquisition of various agricultural farms in New South Wales and Victoria (involving foreign investment board approval).
  • Assisting on advising a major bank in relation to AUD47 million facilities to a property investment fund for the acquisition of a commercial office building in Sydney.
Corporate Finance
  • Acting for a major bank in relation to providing working capital facilities, acquisition facilities and development facilities to hospitality group in Victoria.
  • Acting for a private equity firm in relation to a bridging finance facility to a childcare operator, including the acquisition and subsequent sale of a portfolio of childcare centres.
  • Acting for invoice financiers and corporate borrowers in relation to invoice finance facilities including, reviewing invoice finance agreements, advising on the Personal Property Securities legislation and negotiating intercreditor arrangements.
  • Acting for a listed client in relation to issuing unsecured notes for AUD50 million.
  • Acting for a major bank in relation to providing AUD29 million facilities to a listed retailer.
  • Acting for various major banks in relation to providing facilities to various professional service firms (including legal and accounting).
Acquisition and Leveraged Finance
  • Acting for a listed health services provider in relation to AUD150 million facilities from a major bank for the purpose of working capital and various corporate acquisitions (including compliance with financial assistance provisions).
  • Assisting on advising Westpac Banking Corporation and National Australia Bank on facilities offered for the acquisition of a UK LLP.
  • Acting for a major bank in relation to AUD14.75 million facilities to a private group for the acquisition of a media company from an Australian listed corporation.
