Anaïs Ligot is an associate within the Paris office IP/IT/Privacy team.

She focuses her practice primarily on intellectual property, data protection and information technology. She assists French and international clients in litigation and transactional matters relating to:

  • the enforcement, development, protection and defense of intellectual property rights (copyrights, trademarks, designs, domain names, unfair competition) . She notably manages significant IP portfolios, infrigement cases, transaction and negociation of intellectual property rights license and/or assignement;
  • the processing of personal data, including the implementation of compliance with the General Personal Data Regulation (audits, risk analysis, contractual implementation), or in cases related to the optimization and securization of personal data processing;
  • Internet law, in particular regarding e-commerce, online liability, cybercrime and online reputation;
  • audiovisual, art, medias, communication and advertising laws, as well as image rights, press freedom and telecommunications law;

Anaïs has particular experience in the luxury, art market, audiovisual, music and media industries, as well as in the transport and mobility, including in the connected and autonomous vehicles ecosystem. She also advises clients in sports, IT, online services or innovation technologies sectors.

Professional Background

Anaïs was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2018. Prior to join K&L Gates, she worked on IP/IT department of French law firms renowned in these fields, as well as in a Parisian law firm specialized in intellectual property litigation.

She also acquired experience in the legal department of a leading French collective management of copyright company. In 2014, she completed as an internship within the Paris IP/IT/Privacy team.

  • Anaïs is a member of the French Association of Data Protection Officers (Association Française des Correspondants aux Données Personnelles).
