Ms. Nevill is a real estate lawyer with broad experience in property, planning and commercial matters. This includes acquisitions and disposals of residential, commercial, industrial and primary production properties, as well as property development and commercial, retail and industrial leasing.

Ms. Nevill has wide experience in the sale of distressed assets, including commercial, residential and industrial properties and mixed use developments.

She also has a focus on primary production land and agribusiness, including the sale and acquisition of water entitlements, share farming agreements, farm leases, crop sale agreements and agricultural licences. She has particular experience in the sale of primary production land and associated water entitlements by mortgagees in possession, liquidators and receivers and managers.

Ms. Nevill also assists clients with planning and environment matters, including applications for review in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Planning and environment
  • Acting for telecommunications providers in planning matters for telecommunications facilities, including planning appeals in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
  • Advising clients on land use and development, including existing use rights and subdivisions.
  • Advice on planning permit conditions.
  • Advice on enforcement issues for non-compliance, including applications in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal for the amendment of enforcement orders.
  • Drafting section 173 agreements for local government and developer clients.
  • Advising clients on environmental issues, including soil and groundwater contamination and liability issues under the Environment Protection Act 1970 (Vic).
  • Advising major lenders on mortgagees' obligations in relation to contaminated land.

  • Advising three out of the four major Australian banks and other insolvency practitioners on the sale of distressed assets including premium property assets and commercial, retail, residential and rural properties.
  • Acting on the sale and acquisition of farm portfolios across Victoria.
  • Advising clients in relation to the sale and acquisition of water entitlements, including water shares, take and use licenses and licenses to operate works, as well as the trade of water allocations.
  • Negotiating lease documentation across multiple jurisdictions, for both landlords and tenants in respect of commercial, industrial and retail leasing, including CBD office buildings and shopping centres.
  • Acting for and advising property developers in relation to medium density projects and vacant land developments, including drafting pro forma off the plan contracts of sale, development agreements, and advising in relation to subdivisions and owners corporation issues.
  • Acting for property owners, including private, public and local government clients, in relation to sales, acquisitions and due diligence for potential purchases and dispositions of a range of property types, including development sites and shopping centres.
  • Advising clients on adverse possession claims.
