Liz Boydston is a partner at the firm’s Dallas and Houston offices where she is a member of the restructuring and insolvency practice group.

Ms. Boydston represents for-profit and non-profit hospitals, municipalities, for-profit and non-profit senior housing centers, skilled nursing facilities, hospice care providers, financial institutions, for-profit and non-profit boards and independent directors, energy companies, oil and gas exploration and production companies, professional sports leagues, telecommunications companies, international shipping companies, large multinational corporations, manufacturing companies, chief restructuring officers, and large multi-subsidiary corporations in complex commercial matters as debtors, lenders, purchasers, creditors, and committees in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases, adversary proceedings, fraudulent transfer and preference litigation, and sales of substantially all assets.

Ms. Boydston has extensive Ponzi Scheme defense litigation experience, defending investors in the $400 million Provident Royalties scheme, the $180 million Vescor scheme, the $3.65 billion PCI scheme, the $80 million Palm Beach scheme, and the $1 billion Black Elk Platinum Partners scheme.

Ms. Boydston is representing a client on a pro bono effort before the Texas Supreme Court.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Boydston served as a senior associate for a global law firm. Her practice focused on business and financial bankruptcy litigation, restructuring, insolvency and complex commercial litigation.

Ms. Boydston also served as law clerk to Chief Bankruptcy Judge Bill Parker, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas from 2007-2009.
