Gabrielle Thompson is an associate in the firm’s Seattle office. Ms. Thompson’s practice focuses on litigation, regulatory compliance, and transactions involving energy, environmental, land use, and natural resource issues.  Her practice also involves advising and representing clients on issues related to large infrastructure projects, including permitting and licensing, construction, operation, and purchase/sale of energy facilities, including wind, solar, and hydropower facilities.  

Ms. Thompson also has experience advising public and private clients on matters relating to Washington’s Public Records Act, the Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), the Washington Model Toxics Control Act (MTCA), the Clean Water Act (CWA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and the Comprehensive, Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).

Professional Background

Before joining K&L Gates, Ms. Thompson was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Lynn R. Nakamoto of the Oregon Court of Appeals, where she researched and drafted appellate opinions in a wide variety of civil and criminal cases. During law school, she worked as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ann Aiken, the Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the District of Oregon, and the Honorable Charles D. Carlson of the Lane County Circuit Court. Ms. Thompson was a K&L Gates summer associate in 2012.
