Mr. Veilleux is a partner and focuses his practice on international finance. He has extensive experience working with clients on transactions in Brazil and throughout Latin America.

He regularly counsels financial institutions and companies on such matters as structured trade and commodity financings, asset-based loans, and project financings, as well as debt capital markets offerings.

He also has extensive experience in representing lenders and borrowers in securitizations and other financings of both performing and non-performing loans and receivables, in addition to private equity fund interests and equity securities.

  • Mr. Veilleux is a member of the American Bar Association and the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce. He is admitted to practice in New York and is a Registered Foreign Legal Consultant in Brazil.
  • Representation of the underwriters and financial advisor in a monetization of restricted shares of a public company through a Rule 144A offering of mandatorily convertible securities.
  • Representation of the sole equity investor in two off-balance sheet vehicles created to securitize limited partnership interests in more than twenty-five private equity funds.
  • Representation of the underwriters in numerous offerings and issuances of commercial mortgage backed securities.
  • Representation of a global energy company in a trade receivables securitization program utilizing a novel tax structure.
  • Establishment of a medium term note program to fund purchases of financial assets by a bank-sponsored, asset-backed commercial paper conduit.
  • Representation of the underwriters in the public offering of two series of enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETCs) backed by fleet aircraft leases.
  • Representation of the arranger and underwriter of a program to repackage corporate debt and asset-backed securities in the form of newly issued trust certificates.
