Ms. Greenfeld is a lawyer in the litigation and dispute resolution practice. Her experience includes advising clients on disputes across a range of industries, including defence of personal injury and public liability claims, negotiations with insurers and resolution of insurance disputes, advice in relation to issues and disputes arising in the oil and gas sector, mining and mining services disputes, contractual disputes, sports law, alternative dispute methods (including international arbitration and mediation) debt recovery and building and construction disputes. Ms. Greenfeld also has experience in real estate and corporate and transactional matters.
Complex Litigation
  • Acting for a large aged care provider in respect of its responses to the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, including its voluntary response and preparing responses to a Notice to Produce and Notice to Give Information or a Statement in Writing.
  • Acting for a number of clients in Case Study 39 of the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
  • Acting for a global engineering company in an international arbitration in relation to damages arising from the delay and non-performance of a bespoke concentration plant.
  • Assisting with various matters associated with a large telecommunications company's successful appeal to State Administrative Tribunal against the decision of a local Council to refuse permission to erect a mobile phone transmission tower in the municipality.
  • Acting for a major bank in respect of proceedings brought by a customer relating to the treatment of superannuation funds.
  • Representing a client in issuing a statutory demand and the successful defence to an application to set aside the statutory demand.
  • Representing Quadrant Energy Australia Pty Ltd and Quadrant Northwest Pty Ltd in a dispute arising from Quadrant Energy Pty Ltd's acquisition of Apache assets.
  • Assisting with the preparation of numerous responses to plaints and requests for forfeiture lodged against mining interests held by an Australian mining company.
  • Acting for a client in the building and construction industry in respect of a number of commercial matters requiring the recovery of damages and debts due.
  • Acting for a number of commercial property owners in respect of termination of leases, recovery of arrears, and other disputes arising from commercial tenancies.
Personal Injury and Public Liability
  • Representing a large range of clients in defence of common law personal injury and public liability claims, including advising clients in relation to third party claims, negotiations with insurers, acting for self-insured clients, engagement of expert witnesses and medical examinations, and involving a wide variety of alleged injuries from a number of plaintiffs.
  • Representing non-employers in relation to public liability and occupier's liability claims.
  • Negotiating and managing insurance claims by insureds with their insurers and settling claims with insurers for reimbursement of defence costs.
