Mr. Cerche is a banking and finance lawyer in the Melbourne office and has expertise in property, construction and project finance. He advises banks, financial institution and corporate clients on a broad range of finance matters and has experience in acquisition, corporate, leveraged and cross border financings.

Mr. Cerche has also advised financial institutions and corporate clients on issues arising from the implementation of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth) and has presented on this topic to clients and at industry and professional forums.

Project Finance
  • Acting for RATCH-Australia on the financing aspects of the 226MW Collector Wind Farm, which recently reached financial close. Clean Energy Finance Corporation provided $180m in debt funding to construct the wind farm.
  • Advising Windlab in relation to the finance of the 104MW Lakeland Wind Farm.

Property and Development Finance
    • Acting for CVS Lane Capital Partners in relation to acquisition and development financings both as a senior and mezzanine financier, including:
      • a $84,000,000 senior loan facility to acquire part of the former Alphington Paper Mill prime development site in Melbourne and to fund preliminary civil works for the multi-precinct development on the wider development site; and
      • a $37,000,000 mezzanine loan facility to fund construction of stage 1 of the "Victoria Square" site in Footscray, Melbourne behind senior finance provided by a leading Australian bank.
    • Acting for Hengyi Australia in relation to its $155,000,000 syndicated cash advance facility for to fund development costs for the residential development known as the "Light House" in Melbourne Australia.
    • Acting for Banner Capital Management in relation to acquisition and development financings as senior financier, including:
      • a $40,000,000 participation (of a total commitment of $90,000,000) in a syndicated loan note subscription arrangement to fund the acquisition and development of a supermarket and retail site in Armstrong Creek, Victoria;
      • a $45,000,000 of senior and preferred equity facilities to acquire a large site in Riddells Creek, Victoria and fund civil works for a multi staged development of that site.
    • Acting for an Australian bank in relation to its facilities to a listed investment fund of Centuria Property Funds Limited which held office assets in South Australia, Australian Capital Territory and New South Wales.
