Patrick Marré

Patrick Marré is an associate in the firm's Berlin office and a member of the telecom, media and technology (TMT) practice group. He advises national and international clients on intellectual property/information technology law, including copyright, trademark, competition, and data protection law, as well as art law.

Mr. Marré represents clients in complex litigation proceedings before German courts. He also consults on IP portfolio management and strategy. This includes negotiations with opposing parties, drafting of contracts as well as the enforcement of the client’s own rights. His clients range from private individuals to international corporations.

Professional Background

Mr. Marré joined K&L Gates in December 2017 after already having worked for the firm as a research assistant in the area of TMT during his legal clerkship. He completed his legal training in Berlin with a leading European business law firm in the field of media and copyright law. He also worked for the same European law firm in Alicante, Spain.

Before that, he obtained his German law degree at the Freie Universität Berlin. He obtained the THEMIS Certificate in International Business Law at the ESADE Law School in Barcelona and remains a member of both the THEMIS and the ESADE alumni network.

Additional Information

Mr. Marré spent a voluntary social year at a workshop for people with disabilities in Vietnam, to which he continues to be a loyal supporter.
