Stephanie Gomez focuses her practice on a wide range of complex commercial litigation in federal and state courts, including contract disputes, environmental clean-up and cost recovery, construction litigation, and insurance recovery. Ms. Gomez also has experience representing corporate and individual clients in arbitration, mediation, and other alternative dispute resolution settings.

Ms. Gomez’s commercial and business litigation experience crosses industries and legal practice areas. She has particular experience handling all aspects of litigation including request for injunctive relief, motion practice, discovery, evidentiary hearings, and bench and jury trials. Ms. Gomez is well versed in complex discovery, including extensive fact-finding, written and electronic discovery, deposition preparation and practice, and the management of the preservation, collection, and production of electronically stored information.

In addition to her general commercial litigation practice, Ms. Gomez maintains a focus on insurance recovery. She regularly assists corporate and individual policyholders in the claims process, seeking to resolve disputes with insurers.

Additionally, Ms. Gomez has experience with technology law matters. She assists large international corporate clients with reviewing and drafting various commercial agreements and marketing collateral (e.g., Non-Disclosure Agreements, Data Processing Agreements, Services Agreements, Work Orders, Sponsorship and Event Agreements, etc.).

Committed to public service, Ms. Gomez actively participates in the K&L Gates pro-bono program and, in particular, with Kids in Need of Defense, representing unaccompanied immigrant and refugee children in immigration proceedings.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gomez was a summer associate in the firm’s Newark office and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Esther Salas, U.S.D.J. at the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.

While in law school, Ms. Gomez served as Co-Chair for the Rutgers University Moot Court Board and was Managing Editor of the Rutgers University Law Review.
