Tara Sullivan is a litigation associate in the Charleston office where her practice focuses on complex commercial litigation. Ms. Sullivan has represented various entities and individuals in both state and federal courts. She handles all phases of civil litigation, including early case assessment and investigation, dispositive motions practice, discovery, e-discovery, depositions, expert discovery, trial preparation, trial, and appeal. She has tried several cases and has successfully resolved litigation through pre-trial motions and settlements.

Ms. Sullivan assists clients with diverse business litigation matters, including claims for fraud, negligent misrepresentation, breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, breach of warranty, tortious interference with contract, and unfair and deceptive trade practices. She also represents motor vehicle manufacturers in the litigation arising from the manufacturer-dealer relationship, franchise law and disputes, and antitrust regulation.

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ms. Sullivan was an associate at a law firm based in South Carolina. She has experience representing automobile manufacturers and distributors on issues involving the manufacturer-dealer relationship; representing banks in disputes involving commercial and consumer lending; advising owners, developers, contractors, subcontractors, and component manufacturers in construction disputes and construction defect litigation; and assisting businesses and individuals in general commercial litigation.
