Theresa Roozen is an associate in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. She focuses her practice on IP litigation and has experience in financial institutions and services litigation, restructuring and insolvency litigation, and general commercial litigation.

Ms. Roozen has assisted with litigation in federal district courts, state court, and in the International Trade Commission. Ms. Roozen is versed in the litigation process and has assisted with litigation to completion.

Ms. Roozen’s representative matters includes: assisting with the representation of a large security company in the Delaware Court of Chancery in an action related to the transfer of source code; assisting with proceedings and litigation before the International Trade Commission; drafting various pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements; and collecting, searching, and reviewing document collection.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Roozen was an intern for the United States Department of Justice, Executive Office for U.S. Trustees and a law clerk for the Maryland Attorney General, Maryland Environmental Service. In addition, Ms. Roozen was an intern for the Honorable Roger W. Titus, U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and for the Honorable Anthony C. Epstein, Superior Court for the District of Columbia. Prior to her legal career, Ms. Roozen worked as a registered nurse in various hospital units, including the emergency room and neonatal intensive care unit.
