Real estate development

  • Acting for leading developers including Hamton, Icon Co and SMA Projects in respect of the acquisition and development of landmark projects in inner Melbourne, including off the plan sales and pre-leasing. 
  • Drafting and negotiating complex joint venture and development agreements in respect of major projects, including long term, mixed use developments to be carried out on a staged basis and unincorporated joint venture arrangements with existing land owners. 
  • Advising in connection with owners corporation issues, including disputes between owners corporations and developers.

Sales and leasing

  • Advising in connection with the acquisition and disposition of significant real estate assets including CBD office buildings, shopping centres and major development sites. 
  • Advising in connection with the turnkey development and leasing of major industrial, commercial and logistics facilities in Melbourne including waste handling facilities, container handling and other port facilities, cold storage facilities and other bespoke developments. 
  • Negotiating significant CBD commercial leasing transactions on behalf of landlords and tenants. 
  • Acting for municipal councils in connection with the sale and leasing of Council land, including complex transactions concerning aged care and affordable housing developments.

Mortgagee and receiver sales

  • Acting for major banks including NAB, Westpac, Commonwealth Bank of Australia and Bendigo and Adelaide Bank in connection with the mortgagee sale of commercial, industrial and primary production land.

  • Acting for Alfred Health in connection with the redevelopment of the Caulfield residential aged care village, including advising in connection with long term Crown leasing arrangements.

  • Advising First Australian Farmland in connection with the acquisition and disposition of primary production land and water entitlements.
