Professional Background

Previously, Mr. Matariyeh served as a summer associate for the firm, where he researched and drafted memos for topics including spoliation and infringement, analyzed and drafted office action responses, and conducted infringement analyses for clients’ patent portfolios. Additionally, Mr. Matariyeh drafted business proposals and conducted business analyses for potential clients.

Mr. Matariyeh also worked as a summer associate at an American law firm in their intellectual property department. As a summer associate, Mr. Matariyeh drafted office action responses, researched and drafted memos, performed prior art analyses, and conducted freedom to operate analyses.

Prior to his legal career, Mr. Matariyeh worked at American pharmaceutical company as a research and development engineer within the devices department. Mr. Matariyeh was a lead engineer on multiple devices in the commercialization phase. Further, he developed failure modes and effects analyses for manufacturing and patient use of injectable devices, developed and executed test method documentation for design verification, and worked closely with manufacturing and human factors groups to improve usability and patient satisfaction.
