Felton Parrish is a partner in the Restructuring and Bankruptcy Practice Group. A primary focus of Mr. Parrish’s practice is the representation of institutional lenders and other large creditors in connection with the restructuring and enforcement of debt obligations. Mr. Parrish also advises lenders on how to structure financial transactions to minimize insolvency risk and represents parties in interest in insolvency-related litigation.
Mr. Parrish is experienced in all aspects of complex chapter 11 bankruptcies. He has represented debtors, creditors, DIP financing lenders, and both purchasers and sellers in 363 sale transactions. He is the co-author of the chapter entitled “Sales of Assets Under Section 363” in Collier Guide to Chapter 11: Key Topics and Selected Industries (Matthew Bender 2010). Recently, Mr. Parrish represented the successful appellant in In re DBSD North America, Inc. (2d Cir. 2011) in which the Second Circuit Court of Appeals reversed the plan confirmation order entered by the Bankruptcy Court on the grounds that the plan of reorganization violated the absolute priority rule.
