Francesco Peruffo is an associate in the firm’s Milan office. He focuses his practice on corporate and commercial non-contentious matters, with a particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions. He has substantial experience in private equity, restructuring and cross-border transactions, including international joint ventures.

He also acquired extensive experience in assisting Italian and foreign clients in the manufacture and service sectors on commercial agreements. Since 2014 he has been a member of the K&L Gates’ China Desk investing in Europe. Francesco Peruffo has been named by Chambers Europe 2016 as leading lawyer in Corporate/M&A.

Professional Background

Before starting his practice in the law firm which joined K&L Gates in Italy, Mr. Peruffo worked in New Delhi, India as a visiting foreign lawyer with a prominent local IP law boutique.

  • Assisted one of the largest US suppliers of alternative automotive parts on the acquisition of a leading pan-European distributor of aftermarket spare parts
  • Assisted a Munich based PE fund in the acquisition from a leading Norwegian aluminum producer of its Italian aluminium rolling mill
  • Assisted an Asian group active in the automotive sector in the acquisition from the insolvency proceedings of an Italian maker of sports cars of relevant trademarks and other intellectual property rights
  • Assisted a global computer technology corporation in multiple acquisitions of the Italian subsidiaries and certain assets of competitor multinational groups
  • Advised on an ongoing basis a multinational project management and construction group acting as main sponsor in project financing transactions in the public health sector involving the construction and restructuring of several hospitals in Northern Italy
