Friederike Gräfin von Brühl is an associate in the Telecom, Media and Technology practice group of the firm's Berlin office. The core areas of her practice are art law and copyright law as well as press, film and media law. She is also experienced in all aspects of IT and data protection law.

Professional Background

Before joining K&L Gates in November 2008, Friederike worked in the Hamburg office of another international law firm, where she also focused on copyright, media and art law. She studied law and art history in Freiburg i.Br., Bonn and Paris and wrote her doctoral thesis about "The Market Power of Art Experts from the Legal Perspective" at the University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Friederike was admitted to the bar in 2006 and is a Specialist Lawyer (Fachanwältin) for Copyright and Media Law. She is specialized in advising art collectors, art traders and foundations and regularly publishes in professional journals. Since 2010, she is lecturer for "Art and Law" at the Freie Universität Berlin.
