Mr. van Echten joined K&L Gates in April 2011. During his legal studies and his clerkship, he worked for the OECD's trade & energy group (Fachgruppe Handel und Energie) in Paris, the Federal Foreign Office in Berlin and Lima/Peru, as well as for another international law firm in London and Berlin, among others. He studied law in Trier, Geneva and Bonn. He was student assistant to Professor Karsten Schmidt at the Institute for Business Law.
