Jacqueline Ferrell is counsel for the firm’s Charlotte office. She focuses her practice on labor and employment and general litigation matters. Ms. Ferrell’s labor and employment practice focuses on representing and advising employers on the full range of employment issues.  She has significant experience defending employers in state and federal court and before administrative agencies on a wide range of employment matters, including employment discrimination, wrongful termination and other state law claims, ERISA actions, wage and hour actions, and workplace harassment and retaliation.  Ms. Ferrell also regularly advises employers on compliance and litigation avoidance matters and assists employers with drafting employment-related contracts, confidentiality and non-competition agreements, and workplace policies.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates, Ms. Ferrell was an associate in the labor and employment practice at an international law firm. While there, she led a pro bono initiative to assist the Council for Children’s Rights with its Custody Advocacy Program. Since 2002, she has represented the best interests of children as a volunteer attorney for the CFCR.
