Jamie Olsen is an associate in the Construction and Engineering practice group.

Professional Background

Jamie joined the firm in September 2010 as a trainee lawyer. During his training, Jamie gained experience in the Construction & Engineering group, where he was involved in a number of private property development projects as well as gaining experience working on private finance initiative (PFI) and public private partnership (PPP) projects. He also previously gained experience in the Real Estate group, where he worked on a variety of lease and lease management matters, the Finance group, where he worked on a range of construction and real estate financing matters, and the Litigation group.

  • Social Housing Project: part of a team advising an SPV company on the financial aspects of a project to develop social housing in a city in Northern England. 
  • Central London redevelopment project: advising a major UK investor client on the appointments, contracts and other documents relating to the redevelopment of office space in Central London, and assisting on the financial documents and post-completion matters on the previous stage of the project. 
  • Retail unit construction project: advising the investor client on the construction aspects of an Agreement for Lease and reviewing the construction documents relating to the construction of a new unit in a retail park owned by the client. 
  • PPP Procurement: part of the team advising a client on the early procurement/tendering stages of a PPP project in a South-East Asian country. 
  • Facility Agreement restructuring: advising a bank client on the restructuring of security it holds over a series of properties in Germany 
  • Corporate/financial restructuring: assisting a team advising a UK holding company on the corporate and finance issues involved in the restructuring of its group companies.
