Jennifer Marsh is an associate in the firm's London office. She concentrates her practice on all aspects of EU and UK competition law. Her work covers merger control; bringing and defending competition law based complaints before the regulators; drafting and implementing compliance programs; drafting and advising on commercial agreements; and advising on litigating competition law issues before the English courts. Jennifer has experience in sectors including manufacturing recruitment, financial services, pharmaceuticals, consumer goods and retail.

Professional Background

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Marsh worked at a large London firm and at the London and Berlin offices of a leading international law firm. She qualified in 2006.

Ms. Marsh earned her Modern Languages Diploma in German from University of Cambridge in 2001.
  • Acting for Cartonplastgroup Holding SA on its completed acquisition of the Demes logistics business from DS Smith plc, which resulted in a combined market share of approximately 85% but was cleared by the Office of Fair Trading on the basis of new entry and the anticipated expansion of smaller players;
  • Advising Cerberus Capital on obtaining merger control approval from the European Commission for its acquisition of Chrysler;
  • Advising Pearl Group regarding its acquisition of Resolution plc entailing numerous merger control approvals including by the Office of Fair Trading;
  • Advising a UK plc in obtaining merger control approval from the Office of Fair Trading under the “markets of insufficient importance” exception;
  • Acting for a UK plc in relation to a cartel investigation by the Office of Fair Trading;
  • Advising a government Trading Fund regarding a complaint to the European Commission alleging abuse of a dominant position contrary to Article 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.
