Jonathan Blank concentrates his practice in maritime and aviation law. He has served as spokesman on maritime regulatory reform and has represented carriers in numerous cases involving application of U.S. maritime statutes. He has represented the Port of Seattle before Congress and federal agencies, including the United States Department of Transportation and the Federal Maritime Commission. He also represents the Maryland Port Administration. He has represented container shipping companies, tanker operators, cruise lines and bulk carriers before federal agencies and in federal courts.
He has represented Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, and the Maryland Aviation Administration in negotiations between the United States and more than twenty countries.
He practices before the Federal Maritime Commission, United States Maritime Administration, U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the United States Coast Guard, the Army Corps of Engineers, and the United States Congress.
