Katy E. Koski is a partner in the firm’s Boston office where she focuses her practice in the litigation area. Ms. Koski’s litigation practice involves such areas as complex commercial contract disputes, business torts, and intellectual property matters. She also has represented clients such as drug and medical companies, product distributors, and aircraft manufacturers in matters involving multi-jurisdictional pharmaceutical pricing and product liability claims, internal trade secrets, and challenges to violations of state and federal False Claims acts and other state business statutes.

Professional Background

Prior to joining K&L Gates in June of 2011, Ms. Koski was a partner at Sherin and Lodgen. Ms. Koski practiced in the firm’s Litigation Department and served on the firm’s Professional Liability Group in defending large law firms and individual practitioners against legal malpractice claims.

While in law school, Katy was a senior editor for the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics.

Ms. Koski has been listed as a Massachusetts Rising Star by New England Super Lawyers Magazine (2005-2008, 2010).

  • Assisted venture capital firm in securing control of company from ousted principals
  • Represented Massachusetts Board of Bar Examiners before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts in successful opposition to two appeals by applicants who were denied admission to the practice of law
  • Obtained defense verdict on behalf of corporate client charged with discrimination claims by former employee, as co-counsel
