Professional Background

Mr. Jenq is a technically trained, experienced patent litigator and has focused his practice on representing clients in patent infringement litigation against competitors and non-practicing entities, and has litigated patents relating to a variety of technologies. Mr. Jenq has experience with technologies such as software user interfaces, power management, semiconductor fabrication, thin film processing, LEDs, wireless communications, circuit design, and cellular communications. He has experience in all key phases of patent litigation, including pre-filing investigations, fact and expert discovery, Markman hearings, summary judgment motions, trial and post-trial proceedings. Mr. Jenq has argued motions and first chaired jury trials in federal and state courts.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Jenq served as a litigation associate at several national law firms. Before that, he prosecuted federal and state crimes as a Special Assistant US Attorney and local Deputy District Attorney. In 2015, Mr. Jenq was featured on ABC news after securing a trial victory in a closely watched vehicular manslaughter case. Mr. Jenq holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he conducted research at school's Microfabrication Laboratory. While at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, he served as an executive editor of the Northwestern Journal of Technology & Intellectual Property, and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte of the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
