Kevin P. Stichter

Mr. Stichter is a partner in the Charlotte office. His practice focuses on corporate transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, and equity and debt financings. He is often involved in cross-border transactions, involving parties and operations in multiple countries and related international issues. He also advises clients on general corporate matters, corporate governance and commercial contracts. In addition, he serves as outside general counsel to various companies.

Mr. Stichter has represented numerous types of parties in transactions, including multinational public companies, private equity sponsors, financial institutions, private companies, founders and management teams.

Mr. Stichter has worked in a wide-range of industries, including business services, chemicals, data management, defense, distribution, energy, financial services, healthcare, life sciences (including pharmaceuticals), manufacturing, media, retail, software, technology, telecommunications and transportation.

Professional Background

Prior to joining a predecessor firm in 1997, Mr. Stichter worked for large law firm based in the Western part of the U.S.

After law school, Mr. Stichter served as a law clerk to the Honorable David A. Ezra, United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.

  • Represented publicly traded Hexagon AB, a measurement technologies company headquartered in Sweden, in multiple acquisitions, including its $2.1 billion acquisition of Intergraph Corporation, a leading software and engineering company, from private equity firms Texas Pacific Group and Hellman & Friedman
  • Represented publicly-traded Novozymes A/S, the world’s largest enzyme company, headquartered in Denmark, in multiple acquisitions, including its acquisition of TJ Technologies Inc., a bioagricultural company
  • Represented Xellia Pharmaceuticals, a Danish company, in acquisitions of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities in the U.S. from Fresenius Kabi and Hikma Pharmaceuticals
  • Represented publicly-traded manufacturer, headquartered in Japan, in securing a long-term supply contract with key component supplier in the U.S.

Private Equity and Financial Investors
  • Represented private equity firm Carousel Capital Partners in over 25 transactions, including multiple acquisitions, recapitalizations, divestitures, and financings for Driven Brands, Inc., the parent company of Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting and Meineke Car Care Centers, which franchise over 1,000 automotive service centers
  • Represented private equity group in acquisition and consolidation of over 15 manufacturing and distribution companies in U.S. and abroad
