Pittsburgh - For a second consecutive year, legal market research company Acritas has recognized K&L Gates LLP among the top 25 law firm brands in the United States, according to the organization’s U.S. Law Firm Brand Index Report released today. The report, which names the U.S. law firm brands most favored by influential clients based within and outside the United States, ranks K&L Gates 15th in this year’s survey, up four spots over the firm’s 2012 ranking.
Created in 2007, the K&L Gates brand has achieved a consistent increase in awareness in both new and established markets during the past six years with the continued expansion of the firm’s global platform across multiple jurisdictions and key commercial financial centers. Earlier this year, K&L Gates extended that brand to a fifth continent through the firm’s combination with Australian national firm Middletons, in addition to also adding offices in both Houston and Seoul over recent months.
This month, K&L Gates also was named “Law Firm of the Year” in Mergers & Acquisitions magazine’s 2012 M&A Mid-Market Awards in recognition of the firm’s strong performance and global approach to middle market M&A.
Compiled from the unprompted responses of more than 800 general counsel of companies both in the United States and in other countries, the U.S. Law Firm Brand Index ranks law firms based on such factors as which firms first come to mind, are most used and favored by counsel, are looked to for high value work, and are most considered for top-level litigation and M&A matters.
