9 May 2017

Milan - The Milan office of global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Giovanni Meschia as a partner in the investment management, hedge funds, and alternative investments practice. He joins K&L Gates from Jones Day.

Meschia advises domestic and international fund managers on the structuring, establishment, and operation of alternative investment schemes across a wide range of asset classes, including private equity and debt, real estate, and venture capital. He also assists sponsors and institutional investors in connection with their investments in those alternative investment schemes, both in primary and secondary markets. His experience includes domestic and other European Union funds, corporate and contractual structures, funds of funds, and co-investment funds, as well as private equity transactions and assisting funds in the structuring, negotiation, and execution of their investment and divestment transactions.

“We are delighted to welcome Giovanni to our team,” said Giampaolo Salsi, administrative partner of K&L Gates’ Milan office. “He nicely complements and strengthens our international and cross-border offerings to institutional investors and investment management firms, with a special focus on private equity, venture capital, and real estate transactions.”
