K&L Gates Welcomes Hong Kong Corporate Partner

Hong Kong - Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Guiping Lu as a corporate/capital markets partner in its Hong Kong office. Lu joins K&L Gates from the Hong Kong office of Beijing-based Haiwen & Partners.

Lu focuses his practice on equity and debt capital market deals and cross-border M&A transactions, in addition to advising clients on private equity, pre-IPO, venture capital financing, and various U.S. securities law matters.

The Hong Kong office of K&L Gates was established in 1996 and comprises more than 30 legal professionals, including 13 partners.

K&L Gates’ highly regarded corporate practice includes lawyers across five continents who serve as counsel to a broad array of Global 500, Fortune 100, FTSE 100 corporations, privately held and venture-backed companies, private equity firms, financial institutions and other investment funds, management groups, and entrepreneurs.

Lu is the third corporate partner to join K&L Gates’ Asia offices in the past two months, following the earlier additions of Tsuguhito Omagari and Dale Araki in Tokyo. The firm has also added corporate partners in Orange County/Los Angeles and Raleigh this year.
